Big Green and Granny Burrell Falls
|
Arriving at Meadow Ridge from the clubhouse, turn right
before the pavilion and drive 1.1 miles on gravel to the
turnoff into the Panthertown parking area. After turning,
note a trail leading into the woods at left. Park in the
parking area but return on foot to the trail leading to
Greenland Creek.
The trail approaches the creek and after about 20
minutes reaches a clearing. Greenland Creek is on your
right; cross it and pick up the trail on the other side.
Follow this for about __ miles to a clearing on the left with
two trails...one about 90-degrees and one almost straight
ahead bearing only slightly left. Take this trail.

Explain about the spur trail to a view.
Then, at the end of the trail, look for a small trail to the right.
This descends sharply to the valley floor. Pick up the old
logging road. Turn left and almost immediately notice a sandy
spot in the trail. (If you get to a bridge you've gone too far.)
Look for a trail to the left. It follows ... to Granny Burrell Falls.
