From the main entrance on Hwy 64, go 1
mile to Hwy. 281 South.  Turn left.  Go
about 1 mile to the entrance for Gorges
State Park.  Park here.  Enter the woods on
an jeep trail which descends for nearly a
mile.  Go left along the trail to view the falls
from the bottom.

The trail winds around the top of
Turtleback Falls to the pool below the falls.
 There are several giant boulders that
make perfect bleachers for watching the
adventurous swimmers slide over the falls
to the pool below.  Return to the trail and
continue .  You"ll see the top of Falls on
your right.  Follow the trail down and along
a wooden fence to get  a view of the falls.  
Rainbow Falls has an impressive 00 foot
drop and in the process sprays out a lot of
mist--which accounts for the rainbow.  If
you're sure-footed, walk a little further and
step into the mist.
