March 3, 1956 - Transylvania Times:
"Jennings Estate Sold In One of The
Largest Real Estate Transactions in Many
Years" The 9,292 acre parcel includes
Toxaway Falls, Horsepasture and other
former resort areas and has been sold to
David Crosby of Boca Raton, Fla. for
future development.  While he does not
plan to immediately rebuild the lake, which
was destroyed by the 1916 food, a
master-long-range development plan is said
to include this project.  A mountain
subdivision is planned starting with 52
acres.  The average lot price will be $1,600.
